Who is Direxa Engineering, LLC.
Direxa Engineering is a newly (September 2009) formed company operating out of Lakewood, Colorado in the USA. It is owned by JC Steele & Sons and by Christophe Aubertot, the former President of Ceric, Inc./Keyria, Inc.
Direxa Engineering is an engineering company specializing in building new plants or upgrading existing ones in the Brick and Clay Roof Tile Industries. Because of its deep knowledge of the complete manufacturing process and its project management experience, Direxa Engineering can basically tackle any small and big projects in the Clay Product Industry.
The Business Model of Direxa Engineering
Direxa Engineering activity is focused on two basic missions:
- The EPC activity (Engineering, Procurement and Construction). This means that it doesn’t own and operate equipment manufacturing facilities, but it can forge alliances with key equipment suppliers on each individual project and/or market. It must be noted though, that Direxa Engineering designs and builds its own dryers and kilns.
- The Service activity, supporting the customer on a sustained and complete basis: surveys of plants and feasibility studies, after sales services, small upgrade and renovation projects, innovation projects (in time Direxa hopes to become a innovation leader in its field), etc
This strategy gives Direxa Engineering two key advantages:
- Great flexibility and resilience to follow the business cycles.
- The ability to really work hard and uncompromisingly towards the customer’s best interest, because it doesn’t have to feed work to a huge manufacturing facility at any cost. The aim of Direxa Engineering is to study the particular problem of a customer and to come up with the best possible customized solution, whatever it is. This allows Direxa Engineering to really work in the best interest of the customer at all times.
Therefore, it is clear that the business model of Direxa Engineering places the customer at the center of its attention. The customer need is the starting point of our work, and the answer to this need is our ultimate goal.
The Geographical Territory of Direxa Engineering
Although it is based in the USA, Direxa Engineering is intending to conduct business in many other parts of the world. It is already active in Brazil and Australia, where subsidiaries operating along the same principles and ideas have been, or are being, created.
Direxa is also quoting on projects in Asia and, of course, China is a natural target for Direxa to establish such a subsidiary. The intention is to start establishing contacts with customers there with the extremely valuable help of JC Steele & Sons, identify their main needs, and setup an office as soon as possible or needed. Direxa Engineering strongly believes that proximity to customers is essential to serve them correctly.

Although Direxa Engineering is a new company, its principals and key employees have an extensive experience (over 20 years of average experience) with this type of activity through previous employments, with direct involvement in more than half of the new plants built in the USA over the last 20 years and countless other projects throughout the world.
